KUALA LUMPUR – Microsoft Corp’s Windows 8 Consumer Preview is available for download starting Thursday.
In a statement, Microsoft said the Windows 8 would offer a more robust experience for testing the world’s most popular operating system and would be available to more people.
President of Microsoft’s Windows and Windows Live Division, Steven Sinofsky, said the Windows 8 would bring a no-compromise approach to using the personal computer (PC).
“With Windows 8 the company reimagined the different ways people interact with their PCs and how to make everything feel like a natural extension of the device, whether using a Windows 8 tablet, laptop or all-in-one,” he said.
Microsoft said the download would be available in English, French, German, Japanese and simplified Chinese
